R.L Clark is a children’s author from Inglewood, CA who writes and illustrates her own books based off real life experiences with her own children. Thus inspiring her to write and draw relatable stories in order to connect with other families. A passion for art and a love for her children equals unforgettable memories, laughs, adventure, and quirky comedy. R.L Clark has turned her unexpected hobby into a passion that she now desires
to share with everyone! Her books include, most recently published “Anthony: A Day of Toys” and “Anthony: The Mischievous Cat Chase.” The first two books of a four part book series, which can be found on Amazon.com and Dorrance Publishing Bookstore.

What is your purpose?

My purpose is to write and create relatable stories to share with families like my own. In order to provide a learning tool for parents like myself that can create fun memories.

What is your genre? What draws you to this genre?


My genre is children’s fiction. Being a mom has drawn me to this genre. I write and create my stories based on real life experiences with my own children.

Who has influenced your life as an author?


Maya Angelou and R.L Stine.

What is your favorite marketing technique? How do you get your book in front of readers?


My favorite marketing technique is through social media platforms. And promoting my book at conventions, book fairs, book trailers, and school reads.

What do you want your readers to know about you?


I want my readers to know that I create my stories for my readers, and I want us to grow together. This is why I created growing r readers. I’ve given life to these wonderful stories/books and I dream of watching them grow and come to life through my readers’ eyes. I’m always thinking of creative ways to inspire my readers.
