Are there themes that you find turn up again and again in your work? A common thread?
One common thread that reoccurs is this book is the love for humanity through a spiritual lens. Showing the world that there is light in the mist of darkness and hope for everybody. These poems are therapeutic for the mind, body, spirit, and soul.Which character or part of the book was the most fun to write? Which part was the hardest? The part of the book that was the most fun is just formatting the poems. That comes naturally and it just flows. Its fun just taking experience from my life and from people I have meet on to paper. In a way to translate hope through a new perspective. That I hope brings a difference, healing, and hope to the readers life. The hardest part was having the confidence to publish my work. Not having the knowledge of the publishing world. Also, know that people would know my personal thoughts and how I processed things throughout life circumstance. Letting go of those fears were difficult.
Can you tell us something that even your most loyal fans may not know about you?
I started writing poetry and different forms of writing as a coping skill. It was a way to slow my mind down and away to release my emotions. Growing up I had a hard time experiencing my feelings and it would come out in an unhealthy way. So, I started to write to manage my emotions. Later, in life doing this developed a skill and gifts that later opened doors for me and brought many opportunities.
Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?
Never give up on your dreams. Keep believing in yourself until that vision becomes a reality. Follow your purpose because a person without a vision will perish. Go to the grave empty meaning you left this earth fulfilling every dream, gift, and talent.
