Love on the Run Book Review

Running from love has become the norm for both Saige Patterson and Raj Blaine.
After a bad break-up with the man she thought was her soul mate- love has proven to be complicated for Saige. She is determined never to be vulnerable or let love be a source of pain for her again.
After surviving past betrayals- relationships aren’t Raj’s speed. He’s not interested in anything more than having his physical needs met.
Their paths cross-testing the unrealistic boundaries they’ve each created to avoid suffering heartache that only love could bring.
Are they too guarded, or are they willing to give love another chance? Contains mature themes.

Queenie’s Review:

Why keep running from “Love”?

This story is about Saige who falls in love and gets to the altar. She gets crushed by Larry. Will Saige open up her heart again or will it be stoned? Raj, a knucklehead from her past, meets her again and an “unexpected” place. Will Raj undo his manly ways? This story will have you in your feelings for real for real!
The character development was on point. I could relate to the characters. The characters were well-developed and realistic. I really love their parents. The parents were no holes barred, very empathetic, and understanding. I did not care for the character Mia. I would love to have a story with Saige and Raj only. I can feel the pain and the excitement of the characters. They were like my family.
The organization of the story went smoothly. I could comprehend what was going on in the story from start to finish. I appreciate how the storyline went in chronological order up until Valentine’s Day! The story was fast-paced and was a page-turner.
The memorable moment for me in the story is how Saige let her guard down and how Raj grew up. This was truly a true love connection with obstacles but was sustained.
The synopsis I did not read until after I read the book. The synopsis is on point. Reading it made an avid reader want to read it. The dialogue is what I live for because the reader knows was on the minds of the characters. The dialogue made their story come to life which made me have a roller coaster of emotions. The emotions I felt were upset, sad, funny, mad, and annoyed. Thanks for the ride. The writing style fits the genre. I love your writing style. Clean and precise. The ending was great. I am glad it was a perfect love ending. I can’t wait for the author to explore the relationship further.
This is my first time reading this author but it will not be my last. I recommend this book to an avid book reader. I give this book five stars.
