Dr. Velma Bagby has coached/counseled for 30+ years, providing pastoral/premarital/marriage counseling, and is a member of AACC (American Association of Christian Counselors). After years of watching the pattern of today’s dating culture, she wrote her first nonfiction relationship-focused book, based on conversations with her daughters about dating with intent. The book is Your Adam Is Asleep Until God Opens His Eyes. Dr. Velma continued writing on love & relationships with her short story, My 70s Love Story, available on Kindle. Inspired by her blessed marriage of 48 years, she does not hesitate to be transparent when sharing her journey and wisdom with women before they say, “I do.” An inspirational speaker, she is a member of the Advanced Writers & Speakers Association (AWSA) and began her writing/coaching career after retiring from her 38-year career as a California state Deputy Administrator.
