How do you get the idea for your book She Works Hard For the Money?
There was a scene in chapter 4 that was actually the whole idea of this book. A man who can’t be touched and a woman who had never been touched. I saw Reena bound and waiting for Beck to break her and I created an entire story around that one scene I saw in my head. The intensity, the passion was just so much that I needed to share.
What is your favorite line from your book question?
Oh good lawd, there were so many to share. I believe it would be everything that came out of Beck’s mouth. Made me mad because he was just hard misogynistic angst in the butt, but he stayed true to himself through the whole story.
Which of your characters do you believe are most like you and why question?
Beck is a little like me which is probably why he got on my nerve the most.
What message do you hope readers will take away from your book?
Sometimes you can find love in the most unlikely person
How did you get published?
This novel was originally published as an Amazon Kindle Vella and I decided it was just too delicious to leave on that platform. Since the program isn’t open to foreign readers or some people don’t like to read in that format, I transferred the story out of that environment and brought them to where others can reach the story.
What have been your greatest literary accomplishments?
Hearing how my mother said how proud she was of me when someone interviewed her while I was being honored.
Do you have any new books in the works?
Of course, Her Substitute Husband… His Boss when we find that three is NOT a crowd and also the third part of Essence’s Divinity when a man wakes up from a five-year coma and finds out he has a four-year-old son.
Is there anything else you would like the readers to know?
Expect the unexpected when you read my work. I’m bad on paper so I can be good in life.
