The Essential Guide on How to be a Hoe is not a book about slut shaming or promoting negative beliefs about sexuality. Hoe is defined as any individual, regardless of gender identity, who chooses to live a sex positive lifestyle free of the judgment and shame of outside influencers and embraces and owns the full extent of their sexuality. This book tackles tough issues and educates its readers on topics which includes consent, sexual violence, body autonomy, and self-development.
Which five words best describe the Essential Guide on How to be a Hoe?
A joyful journey of self-exploration.
Can you share one highlight from the book?
The greatest highlight from the book is the definition of the word “hoe”. Hoe is defined as any individual, regardless of gender identity, who lives a sex positive lifestyle free of the judgment and shame of outside influencers and embraces and owns the full extent of their sexuality.
What is the purpose of this book?
This book is my way of combating toxic masculinity, rape culture, and the lack of bodily autonomy and sexual expression within our society.
Are there themes that you find turn up again and again in your work? A common thread?
The common theme that is ongoing throughout the work is the conversation of consent and mutual respect, two things that are fluid within the confounds of interpersonal relationships, especially those that are sexual.
Which character or part of the book was the most fun to write? Which part was the hardest?
The funniest part of the book was writing chapter I had to release some built up aggression with that chapter. The hardest part of writing the book was developing a gender neutral sex scene that avoided mentioning sex organs.
Can you tell us something that even your most loyal fans may not know about you?
