Portia has finally come to her senses and decided to let her long-time, abusive boyfriend go. She’s at the annual Christmas party hosted by one of Chicago’s largest newspapers when she runs into the love of her life. Readers will have to get the book to discover is their love is enough to save Portia.
What is the purpose of this book?
To encourage readers, particularly women, not to give up on their lives even if they’ve received a report that they’ve developed breast cancer.

The value of having a deep, abiding faith in what you’re meant to do.
Which character or part of the book was the most fun to write? Which part was the hardest?
The most fun part of Portia to write was the Thanksgiving scene. The hardest part was Portia dealing with the news that she’d developed breast cancer.

I was 10 years old when I knew that I was sent here to be a writer.
