How do you get the idea for your book, Melody Knight?
I wanted to write a powerful speculative fiction piece, and I wanted it to be “action packed.” I lot of speculative fiction lags in plot action; I combined the difference of speculative story and the action of a thriller.
What is your favorite line from your book question?
There are those that want the war between vampires and humanity, but there are those like me whose purpose is to keep peace, to keep the balance.
Which of your characters do you believe are most like you and why question?
Daniel Knight, the father, because of his love for his three daughters; I have three daughters and relate to his dedication.
What message do you hope readers will take away from your book?
Those who people think of as evil can do good.
How did you get published?
I used the services of Atmosphere Press
What have been your greatest literary accomplishments?
Getting published, writing in different genres, and continuing to write despite diminishing financial gains.
Do you have any new books in the works?
Three are in my mind: a historical fiction novel about Nat Turner, another mystery, and another speculative piece about an American voodoo priest.
