What’s your ‘go to’ song for the journey to school?
Successful-Drake
What’s the best thing about being a teacher?
Seeing the improvement physically from my students, be it a faster mile time, or an increase in reps when we max out in pushups or the like.
Who/what inspired you to become a teacher?
I fell into teaching, but what makes me want to continue to want to teach physical education is to try and bring the excitement back into playing different sports kids should want to grow up playing. Not everyone is good a one sport. But if you sample several sports, there is at least one sport they can excel in. As a physical education teacher, I try to find one sport for all my students they have potential to be great in.
What’s your favorite way to spend a Saturday night?
Spending time with my girlfriend.
What one piece of advice would you give to your students?
Work hard every day, little by little, and you will soon see your reward.
What inspires or motivates you?
My parents inspire me. Seeing how hard they work every day for my family. Doing things they might not want to do like work extra hours, or come home and cook after a long day. But seeing that they do, and persevere to keep our family going is a big inspiration, and example set for me.
