She sat quietly on the park bench. Her mind had brought her back to the hard cold facts, suddenly dauntingly realizing that he would never see her for who she was. She would always fade into the background, her gifts would forever be diminished and downgraded under his brutish personality. She packed her bags, gathered what dignity she had left.
