A pen and paper is my friend.
This is my quiet time.
Never took the opportunity to write.
But it’s never too late to start.
My kids are grown and they are gone.
Such peace and tranquility.
My old chair never gave up on me.
Sitting here for a lifetime.
Even putting the kids to bed.
This chair is my comfort zone.
I write my story about life.
What I see outside, how times have changed.
I still think I have a chance,
to write a bestseller, not just one book, maybe two.
My hands got a little feeble now.
After working so hard, ploughing the field.
I still know my ABC’s and can count.
It took a lot of practice you know.
I have gotten better, I surprised myself.
Nature is my biggest topic, that I write about.
Yep, so much joy I get in what I do.
