About the Author: Dean Conan:
Conan grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, with a single mom and an absent father. It was his relationship with his mother that strengthen his character as a gentleman. His mother moonlighted as a blues singer during his early years. She would take little Conan to night clubs as her way of working and kept an eye on her son. It was these seedy bars that inspired Conan to go into show-business. When Hollywood failed to take him in, he tried to break into the modeling industry. Yet, Conan didn’t have quite the physique nor the flair to remain in Men Fashion, so he took to the mic as a comic. It didn’t take long for Conan to find out being in comedy wasn’t his niche either. Since Conan wasn’t a match for Broadway, he decided to pick up a pen and write fictional stories about his love life, friendships, and international travels.
-What is your genre? What draws you to this genre?
Genre-Fiction. I wanted to write something that was fun and embodied a lot of characters I have know through the years. Yet, all and all it is a made-up story.
-What is your purpose?
My purpose: to entertain and make us laugh it ourselves, or someone we know is like my characters.
-Who has influenced your life as an author?
Alot of comedians have influenced me more than any one author.
-What is your favorite marketing technique? How do you get your book in front of reader
Marketing through social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). I just reach out to as many links, websites, podcasts as possible in order to get my book some marketing exposure.
-What is something you want readers to know about you?
To know about me: I don’t take myself too serious. I laugh at myself all the time.
-What are you reading right now?
I’m not reading anything right now due. So much time is spent on marketing my books and trying to write the next big story.
