Tell us about your book Loving Cee Cee Johnson.
Cee Cee is a TV reporter who is trying to put her humble and painful beginnings behind her until one fateful assignment brings her back to the small town of her birth. This is the same town where Isaac Hunt (main character in the first book in the series) has made his home. This is an interracial love story.
Why did you decide to write it?
This book is the second book in the Isaac Hunt series. My publisher Moody Publishers wanted a follow-up book to Making Isaac Hunt.
What’s the best part of being an author?
The best part about being an author is being able to communicate about life through storytelling.
What’s the worst part of being an author?
I really don’t like marketing, but that’s part of being a published author. Writing is a business and marketing comes with the territory.
Who is your favorite character in the book, and why?
My favorite character is Cee Cee. She’s smart and strong, but she’s got a weak spot for the family.
What are you currently working on right now?
I’m currently working on a mystery series set in the South. It may or may not be romantic suspense. If you’ve read anything by Attica Locke, you might enjoy this series.
