Book Spotlight – SHOW ME NO MERCY

Welcome. This is the Book Spotlight of the Day. These spotlights are for showcasing diverse indie author’s published books and writing. Today’s book spotlight is SHOW ME NO MERCY by Anita L. Roseboro.

BLURB

After eight years of occasional wedded bliss and with this violation weighing on them, Casey leaves the bedroom, then their home, and sets an immediate path towards freedom. With the tide of local laws blurring the lines of his actions, Terrence’s path will lead him to challenge old ideas of women and his perceived rights of a man in marriage.

Which five words best describe Show Me No Mercy?

Self-Worth, Determination, Forgiveness, Reclamation, and Survival.

Can you share one highlight from the book?

Sometimes things aren’t what they seem on the surface. Forgiveness takes time and in its truest form begins in the heart.

What is the purpose of this book?

To shine the light on spousal abuse but more spousal rape. Every State has their own laws surrounding it. Some very outdated.

Are there themes that you find turn up again and again in your work? A common thread?

The most common thread will be some form of sexual trauma or depression, but not lingering there. I want to walk my characters to healing. My newer novels will deal with characters living their best life with minor reflections of their past.

Which character or part of the book was the most fun to write? Which part was the hardest?

Marla was fun to write because she loved any excuse to draw a knife. Terrence was the hardest because of the nature of the crime and he had no remorse.

Can you tell us something that even your most loyal fans may not know about you?

That I have a paralyzing fear of spiders.

Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?

I am an over thinker who is always thinking of the next great story. There will always be some edge of suspense trickled with a little romance. ❤️ Read, read and read some more.
