Book Spotlight – The Wish List by Linda Leigh Hargrove

Blurb:
Sharing family time during the holidays is everything to Frederica “Freddie” Martinez. But when her family stands in the way of her dream of starting a tiny home business, she retreats in anger to idyllic Wake City to stay with her friend Chelsea Parker.

Will a chance encounter with Zeus de Sousa, the young man who kissed her on the night of her quinceañera, renew her faith in family and reconnect her with her dreams? Fourteen years ago, he was short and chubby. But now, he’s rich, famous, and abso-freakin-lutely hot. Everything she could wish for in a husband… if she was keeping a husband’s wish list, that is.

Which five words best describe The Wish List?
Christmasy. Multicultural. Sweet. Family-oriented. Fun.

What is the purpose of this book?
This is book three in the Southern Christmas Lights sweet romance series. Readers kept asking for Frederica “Freddie” Martinez’s love story, so I finally wrote it.

Are there themes that you find turn up again and again in your work? A common thread?
A common thread through my work is forgiveness and second chances.

Which character or part of the book was the most fun to write?
I liked writing the backstory of this love story. Some of it makes it into the book but since it’s a novella series, I couldn’t put it all in. I also enjoyed researching the Mexican and Puerto Rican culture around birthdays and Christmas.

Can you tell us something that even your most loyal fans may not know about you? I don’t eat chocolate, for health reasons.

Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?
I’m on most social media channels, but I tend to spend more time on Instagram these days. Intagram.com/thefa
