Dancing on the Moon is a short story that was first published as part of an anthology compiled by Tyora Moody. I was given permission to republish it as a stand-alone story for free on Amazon Kindle.
This is the first of a series of short stories with teachers as the main characters. In this first story, the lead character is a female math teacher (Katrina) with a shady past. She sees her boss (Nate) as the picture of perfection and thinks she’s the only one with skeletons in the closet but that’s not the case. He’s got his baggage too.
I enjoyed writing this story because of the strong female leading characters. I also liked blending in the humorous moments with the deeper insights Katrina is finally able to draw from her past with Nate’s help.
I want people to understand that God can redeem their past mistakes. He can draw the message from their mess.
