Can you share one highlight from the book?
One highlight is when I wrote “I Testify”. In this passage I basically painted a picture for the readers to visualize what I was going through during the event of my mother passing away. It’s a truthful event with details on how I was introduced to pain, and grief. It’s more like me telling my story of what I experienced and what I was doing, where I was when I lost my mother.
What is the purpose of this book?
I’ve written this book to be the voice for the unspoken. It is filled with poems and motivational quotes to inspire individuals to believe in themselves and there dreams. To continue working towards their destiny and seeing it all the way through. This book also talks about me expressing the emotions of sorrow, hurt, grief, depression that I was dealt with in my life and how I got through it. Mostly my growing pain that others can relate to and my objective is to help them get through theirs as well with my words of wisdom.
Are there themes that you find turn up again and again in your work? A common thread?
One of my common thread is to listen to instrumentals that touches my soul in a way and then I begin writing my inner thoughts. Pertaining to tribulations, everyday living, heartfelt situations and getting through obstacles in life. One of my main themes in my writing is my grief and my pain
Which character or part of the book was the most fun to write? Which part was the hardest?
The most fun part to write was the ending, which led into my upcoming project after my 3rd book “Tales Between the Two” is completed. The hardest part was writing “Letter To Heaven” to my mom and dad.
Can you tell us something that even your most loyal fans may not know about you?
I don’t like mayonnaise, ranch. Anything else, I’m open as a book and it’s all written in my content/work.
Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?
Yes. I will be publishing my 3rd book “Tales Between the Two” which is a short story some time this year, so stay tune for the release date. Also I will be coming out with my own podcast, “Self Talk” to be more engage with my audience. So be on the lookout for that as well.
Author Biography:
Ozzie Anderson was born in Aiken, SC and grew up in Allendale, SC. Been a U.S. Navy sailor since 2005 until this present day. He enjoys writing emotion base poetry, Generally for the people to relate to. His inspiration for writing comes from his aunt, who also an author, Sister Pauline M. Brown. After doing tours across the world, It opened Ozzie’s eyes to others point of view on life. After losing his mother while in bootcamp, he begin expressing his emotions through poetry, which made his writing technique phenomenal and deep to the core. Recently publishing his first book “A Missing Rose” on May 23, 2014. Wanting to be that Spoken Voice, Ozzie engages with his audience and fans of the community , motivating the encouragement of dreams becoming reality.
