Synopsis:

International Book Awards Finalist! Scribbles is a young girl who struggles in school. She would rather draw her favorite animal, frogs, all day. Mrs. Sunshine notices her struggle and guides her in her schoolwork so she can feel successful in both environments: school and drawing. Come along with Scribbles and watch how she conquers both!

Book Review:

This is about a little girl that wanted to draw frogs instead of doing class work. The work was really hard for her, especially the math. But a teacher that understood her, helped her through this. This book I could relate to because I work with children like scribbles. I am glad the author touched on this topic. The author did it in a very sensitive way and we as a society need to discuss it.
The illustrations and the fronts are great and related to the story. My son even thought the illustrations were awesome. It was a hardback book and larger. The author’s writing style was precise and clear.

I recommend this book to parents, grandparents, and teachers. I like that the book comes with an educational resource that can be used in the classroom. I give the book five stars.
