Lila’s third #1 bestselling project, Camouflaged Sisters: Silent No More went number one on Amazon.com Hot New Releases list within hours of being released on Veterans Day 2016. Lila and her 11 coauthors have created a true healing project as they discuss their individual journeys from trauma to triumph. This book focuses on surviving trauma such as military sexual trauma, domestic violence, post traumatic stress disorder, and depression, as well as self-love and victim advocacy. Silent No More book is the recipient of the IALA (Indie Author Legacy Award) 2017 Anthology of the Year award and coauthors Monique Jones and Karen Wright-Chisolm were finalists in the Coauthor of the Year category. This book is filled with short stories from twenty-nine inspirational military women, women Veterans, and military spouses. It is a combination of heartfelt stories, soul baring admissions, and valuable advice. This book is a collection of powerful voices from women who have faced the pressures of being a wife, a mother, a sister, and a friend, all while serving their country. She served as keynote speaker at the 10th Annual Women Veterans Conference for the state of Massachusetts in May 2018, the annual gala of the Zeta Epsilon Graduate Chapter in Lawton, Oklahoma, Texas A&M San Antonio for MLK Jr. Dream Week 2017, and Baylor University during their Peer Leader Conference. Lila is the proud wife of a fellow Veteran, mother and grandmother. Her children are published authors as well. Lila’s 14-year-old daughter self-published three books and was a finalist for the IALA 2016 Youth Author of the Year award. Lila’s adult son self-published two books and has created a wonderful life for his family in Kansas.
